It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Erwin Campsey Sr. of Devine, Texas, who passed away on October 4, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur "Sonny" and Mary Campsey; his children, John Campsey, Sr. and Christianna Sollock; his sister Becky Campsey Favor; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Brown Campsey, Debi Crouch Campsey and Jim Favor.
He is survived by : his wife Sherry Campsey; his children, Jennifer Franklin (Stephen), Donald E "Butchy" Campsey (Jennifer), Robert Campsey and Jacob Campsey (Jenah); his son-in-law Bruce Sollock; his grandchildren, Maddison Sollock, Corey Sollock, Connor Sollock (Britttany Moore), Johnny Campsey Jr., Olivia, Ethan, Emma Franklin, Kingston Mangold, Emerie and Levy Campsey; his great grandchild Kaia Christiana Sollock; and his siblings, Ronnie Campsey (Shana), J. L. Campsey (Theresa), Tom Campsey (Karen), Rick Campsey, Bobby Campsey, Danny Campsey (Mark Waugh), Art Campsey (Jeanene), Billy Campsey, Clara Carroll (Chuck) and Susie Bourcier (Tim).
Due to COVID restriction, anyone wishing to attend services must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
In the final years of his life, Campsey fought a long but heroic battle with Alzheimer's.
