We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2025, at the age of 91, Betty Huizar of Diboll, Texas passed away. Family and friends can send flowers and condolences in memory of the loved one. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Huizar to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Maldonado and Elida Maldonado; her husband Ernest Huizar; and her siblings, Nora Pena, Ruth Maldonado, Rosa and Guadalupe Ramirez Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Ernest Huizar (Irma), Dora Whitehead (Eddie), Johnny Huizar (Helen) and Robert Huizar; and her grandchildren, Willie Vasquez, Jessica Garza, Michael Whitehead and Luther Whitehead. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gipson Funeral Home (1515 S Chestnut St, Lufkin, TX 75901). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (100 Maynard, Diboll, TX 75941).
