He was predeceased by: his parents, William Monroe Ivey and Bertha Lee Ivey (Lardrum); his son Scott Ivey; his siblings, Vernon Ivey, Bill Ivey and Elizabeth (Ivey); and his brothers-in-law, Bennie Mayo, Billy Kee and J. D. Kee.
He is survived by: his wife Verma Ivey (Kee); his daughter Karen Lea Ivey; his children-in-law, Gena Ivey and B. J. Brewer; his granddaughters, April Wetherell, Amber Montes and Samantha Carrol Ivey; his sister-in-law Betty Kee; and his close friend Bobby Alderman. He is also survived by five greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Promise Land Baptist Church (208 Whitehouse Dr, Lufkin, TX 75901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
