She was predeceased by : her parents, Rogelio Alvarez and Isabel Aleman; and her siblings, Afredo Alvarez, Jesus Alvarez, Hector Alvarez, Jose Belen Alvarez Aleman and Savino Alvarez Aleman.

She is survived by : her children, Josefina Cantu, Rogelio Ceasar Barbosa, Luis Lauro Barbosa, Angel Barbosa and Guadalupe Arriaga; and her siblings, Ramiro Alvarez Ventura and Marina Alvarez of Delgado. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
