Charles Grote Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Grote of Dripping Springs, Texas, who passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carlos Grote and Eugenia Grote; his wife Debbey Grote of Dripping Springs; his daughters, Gina McKallip (Dave) and Leigh Sells; his stepson Sean Grote (Ofelia); his grandchildren, Ben, Sarah, Rebecca McKallip, Seth, Adrian, Andrew Grote and Charlie Sells; and his sister Patsy Hauptrief (Lawrence).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fredericksburg Funeral Home (2278 S US Hwy 87, Fredericksburg, TX 78624). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church (1800 Llano St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624).
Memorial contributions may be made to Willow City VFD, Gillespie County Fair & Festivals Scholarship Fund, or the charity of one's choice.
