She was predeceased by : her husband Ray Gunter. She is survived by : her children, Ervin Gunter (Sherrie), Sara Hawk (Dan) and Cathy Hurley (Paul); her grandchildren, Paul, Logan (Danielle), Sydney, Bailey (TJ), Kirby (Justin), Daniel (Edie) and Jackson; and her great grandchildren, Emmett, Georgia, Josephine, Eloise and Owen.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jaynes Memorial Chapel (811 S Cockrell Hill Rd, Duncanville, TX 75137). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Cliff Temple Baptist Church (134 W 10th St, Dallas, TX 75208).

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cliff Temple Baptist Church.
