He is survived by: his wife Argelia Herrera-Mason; his children, Andrea O. Mason-Howard of Colorado Springs, Rolanda L. Mason of Houston, Texas and Donald Robert Mason of Houston, Texas; his stepchildren, Jorge Herrera of Midland, Texas., Jacob Herrera of Midland, Texas. and Jennie Herrera of Midland, Texas.; and his grandson Dwight Alexander Howard of Colorado Springs.

Viewing was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the True Lite Christian Fellowship (3001 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79705). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in honor of Donald Ray Mason to the Alzheimer's Association.
