He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Rives and Alberta Sundermeyer Rives. He is survived by : his stepsons, Jody Fuechec (Sandra), Thomas Fucik, Glen Fucik and Tim Fucik (Sarah); his grandchildren, Jared Fuechec (Sarah), Caitlyn Fuechec Wade (Harley), Zachary Fuechec and Sam Fucik; his cousins, Mark Taylor (Pam) and Timothy Taylor (Colleen); and also Kathryn Krenek Rives.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East Bernard EMS, PO Box 612, East Bernard, TX or First United Methodist Church, East Bernard.
