We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2020, at the age of 80, Margaret Ruth Smaistrla of East Bernard, Texas, born in Bay City, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas J. Havel and Antonia M Klesel Havel; her son Robert W. Smaistrla; and her brothers, Thomas Havel, Alois Havel, Henry Havel and Frank Havel.
She is survived by: her husband Albert Smaistrla of East Bernard; her children, Rita Willis (Bill) of Missouri City, Renee Perry (Scott) of Richmond, Ray Smaistrla (Yollie) of Houston and Ron Smaistrla (Christy) of East Bernard; her sister Tereza Shimek of Palacios; her grandchildren, Jill Crocker (Greg), Keith Willis, Justin Perry (Abigail), Jonathan Perry, Jacob Perry, Anna Smaistrla, Reid Smaistrla and Ethan Smaistrla; and her great grandchildren, Flynn Perry and Grayson Crocker.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations honoring Margaret go to a charity of choice.
