She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Carol Vandiver and Ada Mae Vandiver (Johnson); her daughter Terri May; and her brother Sam Carol Vandiver. She is survived by: her husband Jewel Denman May; her daughter Kristi Tibbets; her brothers, Ronnie Vandiver and Duane Vandiver; and her grandchildren, Jayden Tibbets and Kayleigh Tibbets.
