James Alfred left this world on July 20, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As James Alfred departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James Alfred. Though James Alfred may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alfred Cook, Sr. and Alma Ruth Isom Cook; and his sister Dorothy Ruth Anderson. He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Gail Tucker (Charles) of Eddy, Pam Combs (Gary) of Eddy, Lisa Mays (Dennis) of Eddy and Paula Eberspacher (Ralph) of Midland. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cole Funeral Home (1113 W 5th St, McGregor, TX 76657). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Eddy Cemetery (9823 I 35 N Frontage Rd, Eddy, TX 76524).
