Though Angelita Reyes may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Angelita Reyes touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Silverio L. Salas; her parents, Aniceto Reyes and Juanita H. Reyes; and her brothers, Enrique Reyes and Guadalupe Reyes.
She is survived by: her children, Sylvia Salas, Velma Barreiro and Silverio Salas Jr.; and her siblings, Jose Angel Reyes and Julia R. Salazar. She is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - Edinburg (208 E Canton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (215 N 16th Ave, Edinburg, TX 78541). A burial will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery (2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
