He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomas Benavides and Eva Flores. He is survived by: his wife Maria Isabel Benavides; his children, Clarissa Gaubatz (Dale), Dina Flores (Rick), Linda Benavides, Cindy Jones (Mike) and Arnoldo Benavides Jr. (Melinda); his stepchildren, Christina Garza (Efrain), Arturo Alvarez (Nitza) and Lupita Rosales (Antonio); his grandchildren, Trae Gaubatz, Darby Gaubatz, Jonathan L. Flores, Aiden Mares, Lauren N. Benavides, Daniel L. Benavides, Caleb Garza, Ethan Garza, Desirae Urbina, Emmanuel Rosales and Christian Rosales; and his siblings, Timoteo Benavides (Agapita), Raul Benavides (Betty) and Carlos Benavidez (Imelda). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
