Arturo left this world on May 26, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arturo Perez and Alta Gracia Peña; his granddaughter Lisa Jo Rawlings; his brother-in-law Juan Guerrero; his grandmother Severita Peña Guzman; his aunt Hilaria Arredondo; and his parents-in-law, Primitivo Alfaro Alvarez and Mariana Alfaro Sosa.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Inez Perez Alfaro; his daughters, Maria Esmeralda Perez and Ruby Perez; his grandchildren, Izabella Oralit Gomez, Jose Demetrio Gomez, Aries Ian Rawlings, Damien Josiah Gomez and Yahir Malachi Gomez; and his siblings, Maria Hernandez Perez (Ramon Hernandez), Arminda Pacheco Perez (Raul Pacheco), Jose Maria Perez (Etelvina Perez), Martin Perez Palacios (Rosalinda Perez) and Alma Guadalupe Perez (Josaphat Tirado). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (900 S 23rd St, McAllen, TX 78501). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Palm Valley Memorial Gardens (4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577).
