He was predeceased by : his parents, Nicomedes Nuñez Martinez and Angel C. Martinez; and his brothers, Guadalupe Ramon "Wally" Martinez and Sergio Martinez. He is survived by : his children, Yvonne Martinez (Margarito Carreon), Efrain Eduardo Martinez (Melissa), Elizabeth Celeste Martinez (Paul Mendez), Yvette Marie Martinez (Erick Galvan), Efrem B. McKnight (Theresa) and Irma Marroquin (Alonso); his grandchildren, Gabriella P. Hinojosa, Karina I. Hinojosa, Sierra A. Mendez, Arianna M. Jara, Emma Martinez, Joaquin M. Jara, Jacob Mendez and Dylan Martinez; and his siblings, Angel Martinez, Jr. (Thelma) and Alicia M. Guerrero (Lauro, Jr.). He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home (322 E Kuhn St, Edinburg, TX 78541). A rosary was held on Sunday, March 3rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
