He is survived by: his parents, Ernesto Javier Vergara and Martha Oralia Lopez Vergara; and his brothers, Ricardo D. Vergara (Elizabeth) and Roberto D. Vergara (Emily). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
