He was predeceased by: his parents, Abelardo Mireles and Emma Mireles; and his siblings, Rolando Mireles and Emma. He is survived by: his wife Emma; his children, Monica Villarreal (Ismael) and Hector Homar Mirelez (Marbella); his grandchildren, Cruz, Emma Villarreal, Hector Jr. and Sebastian Mirelez; and his siblings, Abelardo Jr., Sylvia, Sostenes, David, Ricardo, Romeo, Homar and Sonia.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
