He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesus Gutierrez Sr. and Santos Ramos; and his sister Hortencia Reyes. He is survived by : his wife Enedelia Gutierrez; his sons, Jesus "Sonny" Gutierrez III and Rene Gutierrez (Barbara); and his grandchildren, Allan Gutierrez, Christopher Gutierrez and Ryan Gutierrez.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - Edinburg (208 E Canton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel (208 E Canton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
