Though Joel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his mother Vanessa Patlán; and his siblings, Cassandra Jovan Flores (Fabian), Zoey Naydin Patlan and Jasmine Isis Flores.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A prayer was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Palm Valley Memorial Gardens (4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577).
