He was predeceased by : his wife Maria Estela Coronado; his parents, Apolonio Coronado and Altagracia Coronado; and his siblings, Juan, Francisca, Alejandro and Rodolfo Coronado.

He is survived by : his children, Veronica Ambriz (Rolando), Jessica Rodriguez (Armando) and Raul Coronado Jr. (Monica); and his siblings, Apolonio, Arturo and Salvador Coronado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
