With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Jean Gerjes of Edna, Texas, born in Cameron, Texas, who passed away on February 3, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Oakes and Elizabeth Mae Oakes; and her brother Dan Oakes. She is survived by : her stepchildren, Penny Rentz, Becky Miska (Bryan), Samantha Idlett (Sam), Steven Gerjes (Lee), Nicholas Gerjes (Shelly), Bobby Gerjes (Robin) and Brenda Jacobs (Timmy). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
