He was predeceased by : his parents, Ross Harvell and Catherine Harfst Couey; his grandparents, Gerard Harold, Hazel Blair Harfst, Marvin Layne and Virginia Ross Couey; his parents-in-law, Harold Charles Sr. and Nellmarie Tobola Kight; his brother-in-law Lloyd Alan Kight; and his nephew Brian Lee Swift.

He is survived by : his sons, Blair Ross Couey Jr. and Tristan Kight Couey (Kristin); his wife Denise Kight Couey; his grandchildren, Cameron Blair Couey, Connor Tristan Couey and Charlotte Marie Couey; and his brothers, Chris Couey (Teresa) and Gerry Couey (Mauri). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in memory Blair may be made to St. Philip Catholic Church, St. Philip School or Houston Hospice – El Campo.
