She is survived by: her husband Zeferino Lara of El Campo; her children, Patricia Ortiz (Genaro) of Palacios, Gustavo Lara (Gracie) of El Campo, Cecilia Gwosdz (Mark) of Cypress, Jose Cristobal Lara (Ahime Chazari) of Rosenberg, Luz "Lucy" Mercedes Lara of Houston, Lorena Conejo (Nicholas) of Eagle Lake and Belen Martinez (Manuel) of Columbus; and her brother Pedro Argote of Mexico. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
