He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Martinak Haas; his son Benjamine Haas (Ashlynn Hedt); his mother Linda Appelt Haas; his brothers, Nicholas (Abbey) and Nathan (Melissa); his siblings' children, Oliva Seitz, Julia LaFond, Hugo, Andrew Gomez, Taylor, Madison, Isabella and Hudson Haas; and his pets, Heidi and Cali.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Triska Funeral Home (612 Merchant St, El Campo, TX 77437-3440). A rosary was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Philip Catholic Church (304 W Church St, El Campo, TX 77437). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Geiger Cemetery.
