It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jami Black in El Paso, Texas, born in Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 25, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Jami may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jami touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Samantha Black; his sons, Ezra and Luke; his parents, Rebecca Black and John Black; his siblings, Heather Walker (Kevin), John Black and Landon Black; and his grandparents, Doug Hixon (Margie) and Sonya Hopkins. He is also survived by three nephews and one niece.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Servant's Church (17811 Old 66 Blvd, Carthage, MO 64836).
