He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Vega and Paula Vega; and his brothers, Francisco, Roberto, Teodoro, Rafael and Jose Angel.

He is survived by: his wife Rosa M. Martinez; his children, Julie, Jesus III, Mary Ann, Patsy and Ricky (Sylvia); and his brothers, Susano, Juan (Rebecca) and Tomas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
