Josefina T Franco Obituary
Josefina T. Franco, 82, passed away June 10, 2024. Josie, affectionately known as "Jo," "Chata," and "Chepina," was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas and graduate of Burges High School Class of 1960. Josie dedicated her life as a housewife caring for her husband, Mario E. Franco, and their four children, Ida, Elma, Mario, Jr., and Michael. Josie had a passion for knitting and crocheting, making each of her children and grandchildren their own tablecloths. Josie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Mario Franco, parents, Leonardo & Cruz Torres, and brother, Hector Torres. Josie is survived by her children, Ida Arenas (Peter), Elma Portillo (Carlos), Mario, Jr. (Susana), & Michael (Priscilla), her brothers, Leonardo, Jr. (Judy), & David (Blanche), and grandchildren Carlos, Jr., Brianna Alyssa, Erin Marie, Noreen Victoria, Katelyn Jolie, & Mia Angelique, great grandchildren, Ethan Georziah, Javier Izai, and Xylas Tilian, several nieces and nephews, and many other loved ones. Visitation will be held at 9am on Monday, June 24th, 2024 followed by a Rosary at 10am and Mass at 11am at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church, 4700 Delta. Interment will be private.
