He was predeceased by : his parents, Isidro Luna and Eva Luna; his wife Guadalupe Luna; his daughter Maria Elena Lopez; and his sisters, Celina Yanez and Teresa Mata.
He is survived by : his children, Ramon Luna, Jr., Celia Cruz (Jaime), Sara Mangum (Larry) and Jaime Luna (Chriselda); and his sister Estela Ramirez. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren.
