Frank English Jr. Obituary

Frank Mills English Jr., age 86, passed away in Memphis, Texas on December 3, 2023.

Private family services have been scheduled for a later date.

Frank was born to Frank English Sr. and Esther Mae Garrett English on March 30, 1937 in San Diego, CA.

Frank spent much of his young adult life in service to this nation. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After the completion of his service during the Korean War, he immediately entered the United States Army in which he served during the Vietnam War. He received many medals, commendations and citations which include the Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Frank retired from the United States Army in 1977. Frank and his wife Marlies of 56 years settled in Estelline in 1987.

Frank is preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Walter English; sister, Luanna English; brother, Russell English.

He is survived by his wife, Marlies English of Estelline, TX; daughter, Nancy Ritschl of Dortmund, Germany; son, Frankie English of Estelline, TX; daughter, Michele Springer of Tell, TX; brother, Joe Melroy of Ridgefield, WA; sister, Lawna Marie Snook of Vidor, TX; sister, Lorenda "Lorrie" Corrie Morrison of Bullhead City, AZ; sister, Eleonora "Elly" Curtis of San Diego, CA; brother, Patrick Wayne English of San Diego, CA; sister, Donna English of Temecula, CA; brother, Mark Anthony English of Santee, CA and numerous grandchildren.
