It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilberto G. Rivera of Falfurrias, Texas, who passed away on August 5, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Jose Rivera and Hortencia Rivera; his wife Petra G. Rivera of Falfurrias; his children, Odelia Ramirez (Baldemar) of Houston, Rachel Rodriguez (Gilbert) of Kingsville, Noelia Martinez (Demetrio) of Weimar, Olivia Carbajal (Jose) of Falfurrias, Lynette Rodriguez (Nathan) of Kingsville, Gilbert Rivera Jr. (Lydia) of Falfurrias, Joel Rivera (Lisa) of Ricardo and Gerardo Rivera (Darla) of Falfurrias; and his sisters, Olga Navarro and Elia Jara of Falfurrias. He was also cherished by twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
