He is survived by: his sons, Jud Barthold (Michell) and Willie Barthold (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Clarrissa, Mykayla, Kendall and Jensen; his great grandchild Holden; and his sister Erna Lee Harmuth. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
