It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Joseph Hons of Floresville, Texas, born in Hobson, Texas, who passed away on December 25, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Alvin G. Malik and Bernice Malik Hons; his brother Glenn Hons; and his siblings-in-law, Efrem Sprencel, Edward Ries, John Gordon and Sandy Ries.
He is survived by : his nephew Jeremy Hons; his niece Amber Sprencel; his wife Roberta Ries Hons; his daughters, Christina Hons, Jennifer Holland and Sheri Hons; his grandchildren, Julian Holland, Jamie Cervantes, Daniella Cervantes and Brian Cervantes; his siblings, Alvin "Wayne" Hons, Carl Hons (Bernice), Roy Hons (Lilly), Ann Palermo (John), Steven Hons (Brenda) and Jeanie Sprencel; his sister-in-law Karen Hons; and his pet Tommy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
