She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcellus Howard Ballard and Lois Marie Sparks; her husband Phillip Carl Bush, Jr.; and her brothers, Eugene Ballard and Raymond Ballard.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Bush (Kyra) and Ann Marie Yohn (Ed); her grandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie Bush, Chelsea, Justine and Mallory Yohn; and her brother Bob Ballard (Wynon).
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel (1011 4th St, Floresville, TX 78114). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
In lieu of flowers the family request any memorial contributions be made in Joan's memory to Samaritans Purse, The Baptist Mission Board or a church of your choice.
