She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Mattern and Mathilda Mattern; her siblings, Doris, Maynard, Robert and David; and her husband Homer R. Bell.

She is survived by: her sons, Mark Johnson, Steven Johnson, James Johnson and Scott Johnson; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Tiffany, Jazmin, Patrisha, Mary Anne, Aaron, DJ and Chris; and her sister Diane Coffin (Mattern). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
