He was predeceased by : his parents, Roberto Lopez and Manuela Bentiz; and his brothers, Juan Lopez, Oscar Lopez, Cipriano Lopez and Ernesto Lopez.

He is survived by : his former life partner Eunice M. Lopez; his daughter Ariel Lopez (Yezenia Navarrete); and his siblings, Robert Lopez, Victor Lopez, Maria Long, Teresa Rivas, Rosie Lopez and San Juana "Connie" Day. He is also survived by father figure not just to his daughter but to his many nieces and nephews.
