He is survived by: his friend Bill Hargadine; his son James Cockroft (Farhana); and his brother Don Cockroft (Gail). He is also survived by several nephews and a niece.
Most of the group reformed about 15 years ago and called themselves 'old Geezers for Jesus' and sang in nursing homes until Covid hit.
