It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Christine Greene of Fort Worth, Texas, born in Hallsville, Texas, who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Theodore Muckelroy and Julia Muckelroy; her husband Willie Melvin Greene; her daughter Cheryl Denise Carey; and her granddaughter Chelsea Duan McIlveen.

She is survived by : her daughters, Julia Reed Horton and Eva Renee Thomas; her grandchildren, Monique Howard (Kevin), Courtney Thomas-Rogers (Mark), Kristina Russell and Bobbette Steptoe (James); her great grandchildren, Brandon McIlveen, Brianna Harris, Aysha Johnson, Ashton Harding, Ashaune Harding, Jodie Steptoe, Winston Steptoe, Ariyel Howard and Kevin Howard, Jr.; and her great great grandchildren, Charleigh McIlveen, Paris Johnson and Marleigh McIlveen.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel (7301 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76112). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Andrews United Methodist Church (522 Missouri Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104).
