She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Oswald and Ethelbert Schoenberger; her former husband Harry D. "Pete" Peters; her siblings, Walter E Oswald, Rev William Oswald, Mary Louise Holley, Gerald Oswald, Franklin D Oswald, Yvonne Shertzer, Darlene Belcher and Wanda Schmidt; and her grandson Michael Peters.
She is survived by: her children, Peters, Jr. (Rebecca) and Lois Ann Peters; her stepdaughter Tonja Upchurch (John); her grandchildren, Stephanie Jones (Jimmy), Becca Stites (Robb) and Eric Wilson; her great grandchildren, Brittany Nelson (Clay), Taylor Jennings (Chris), Elizabeth Rivers (Justin), Aryan Wilson, Emily Wilson and Ella Wilson; and also Jacob Upchurch. She is also survived by seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Biggers Funeral Home (6100 Azle Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76135). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Biggers Funeral Chapel (6100 Azle Ave, Lake Worth, TX 76135). A burial will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Dallas Fort-Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
