He is survived by: his daughter Julie Whitley Schuessler; his grandchildren, Kayla Whitley Petty, David Matthew Schuessler and Sophia Schuessler; and his daughters-in-law, Juanita Crager Middleton and Jennifer Dowdell Whitley.
