He is survived by: his wife Creasie Mae Tinsley; his daughters, Ysletta Fike-Okai (Lovelace), Loretta Williams (Ray), Peretta Nelson (Michael), Coretta Tinsley-Tryon, Venetta Griffin, Heiretta Tinsley, Jeanetta Green (Fred), Rosetta Tinsley and Marletta Tinsley; his grandson John Tinsley Jr.; and his sisters, Lois Williams and Patricia Brooks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
