She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Ruffin and Lorene Ruffin; and her husband Walter "Pete" Townsley. She is survived by: her children, Laquita Gay Swinney (Jack) and Clay Townsley (Mara); and her grandchildren, Cooper Townsley (Sierra), Connor Townsley (Katie), Ransom Swinney, Mercy Swinney and Aza Bird.
