She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Guevara and Eufemio Guevara. She is survived by: her husband Hermilo Escareño Sr.; her daughter Nidia Ortega (Josh); her grandchildren, Suyit, Isis and Anubis; her son Hermilo Escareño Jr. (Brenda); her grandchildren, Matthew and Natalie; her great grandchild Gabriela Escareño (Ricky Rangel); her granddaughter Liliana; and her siblings, Avelino Guevara, Maria and Carmen Castillo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel (3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Funeral Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel (3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A burial was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at the Greenwood Memorial Park (3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107).
