She was predeceased by : her father David E. Smith; and her brother David E. Smith. She is survived by : her mother Peggy O'Neal of Newark; her sons, Patrick Smith of Newark and Sean Smith of Plano; her grandson Seth Smith; and her sisters, Margaret Doggett of Fort Worth and Joanna Soliz of Fort Worth. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
