She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Earl and Mattie Ivera Meeks (Seay); her husband B. L. Scott; her daughter Debra Sue Scott; her siblings, Helen Ruth Mclaughlin, Betty Hunt, Cleta McIntyre, Shirley Chisum, Linda Prater, James Earl Meeks and Darrel Wayne Meeks; and her stepsiblings, Edna Mae Dewberry, Miriam Nolan, Monroe Meeks, Lester Meeks and Chester Meeks.
She is survived by: her siblings, Virginia Allen, Roberta Perry, Rebecca Dugan, Jimmie Meeks and Danny Meeks. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
