He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Townsend (Ashlee Dionne); his parents, Walter Townsend Sr. and Lillie Townsend; and his siblings, Freddie Dale Robinson, Samuel Townsend and Fannie Ruth Williams.
He is survived by: his daughter Ashlee D. Townsend; his grandson Torri Walker Jr.; his pet Dolla Bill; and his sister Gertrude Townsend Murphy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
