She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Paul Schultz and Mattie Thompson Schultz; her daughter Mina Ruth Akins Brees; and the parents of child, Hans and Mattie Schultz.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Akins Riahi (Sia) and Martin Ray Akins (Pam); her grandchildren, Ryan Riahi (Colette), Tara Akins (French Smith IV), Angela Garcia (Sergio Garcia), Drew Brees (Brittany) and Reid Brees (Allison); her great grandchildren, Roman Riahi, Ryder Riahi, Vivienne Akins-Smith, French Smith V, Coco Akins-Smith, Lachlan Smith, Azalea Garcia, Enzo Garcia, Baylen Brees, Bowen Brees, Callen Brees, Rylen Brees, Delaney Brees, Gavin Brees and Beckham Brees; and her brother Hans Paul Schultz. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
