She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Sherrell and Merle Sherrell; and her husband Don Van Huss. She is survived by : her sons, Steven Ray (Cindy Morgan) and D. Lawrence Jones (Amy Jones) of Bryan; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey Brinson (Jen Jones), Sergeant David Brinson, Daniel Brinson, Sergeant Matthew Brinson, Beth Hill (Jason), Angel Wilson (Josh), Justin Jones (Tracy), Joshua Jones (Molly), Amberle Thompson (Denton), Lawson Jones and Dr. Chelsea Baxley D. V. M. (Cory). She is also survived by 19 Great Grandchildren.

She dedicated a lot of her time to the Parkinson's Support Group in Bryan.
