He was predeceased by : his parents, Olvan Bussey and Alice Bussey; his wife Florence "Flo" Bussey; his brother Donnie Edward Bussey; and his sister-in-law Lamand Bussey.

He is survived by : his children, Alan Bussey of Frankston, Diana Lynn Dugan (Mike), Mike Dugan Jr. and Dusty Dugan of Quitman; and his brothers, Richard Bussey (Freida) of Frankston and Bobby Bussey of Chandler. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
