He was predeceased by : his parents, Milton Smith and Jossie Smith (Weisner); his children, Penny Moseley and Chad Oneal Smith; his brothers, Wilburn and Farris Smith; and his sister-in-law Charlene.

He is survived by : his wife Charlotte Smith of Frankston; his daughter Vicky Haynes (Ben) of Poynor; his brother James Robert Smith (Diane) of Houston; and his grandchildren, Justin, Clint, Makenzie, Nancy, Jacob and Ben. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
