He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Lee Neal and Amelia Bauerlein; his brother Wayne "Butch" Neal; his stepsiblings, Glen Schneider and Lanelle Kirk; and his former wife Elizabeth Bryant Padgett.
He is survived by: his son Lee Moser; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Keith, Bethany Shepherd, Savanah Aubrey and Austin Moser; his nephews, Gary Stokes and Justin Neal; and his close friend Virginia "Ginger" Merchant. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
